Position Overview
The Mazak Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating Mazak CNC machines. The candidate must possess a solid understanding of machining processes, blueprint reading, and quality control measures. You will work collaboratively with our engineering team to optimize machining processes and adhere to safety protocols while maintaining production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Mazak CNC machining centers to produce precision parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine tooling required.
- Perform regular machine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor production processes and adjust machine settings to control speed, feed, and depths of cuts.
- Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the production team to improve processes and reduce waste.
- Document production results and report any discrepancies or deviations from standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in a machining or CNC program preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating Mazak CNC equipment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of machining principles and quality control methodologies.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime if required.
