About Edinburgh Zoo

Founded in 1913, Edinburgh Zoo spans over 82 acres and is home to over 1,000 animals across more than 100 species. Our mission is to promote the conservation of wildlife both locally and globally. Current Job Openings

We are thrilled to announce openings in various departments. Below are some of the positions available:

1. Animal Care Specialist

  • Responsibilities:
    • Daily care and husbandry of animals in designated areas.
    • Preparation and distribution of animal diets.
    • Monitoring animal health and behavior.
    • Assisting with training and enrichment activities.
  • Requirements:
    • Degree in Animal Science, Zoology, or related field.
    • Previous experience in a zoo or wildlife rehabilitation center preferred.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

2. Visitor Services Coordinator

  • Responsibilities:
    • Supervise and train visitor services staff.
    • Ensure exceptional visitor experience by managing guest services.
    • Handle guest complaints and inquiries efficiently.
    • Coordinate special events and programs to enhance visitor engagement.
  • Requirements:
    • Proven experience in customer service or hospitality management.

  • Requirements:
    • Degree in Education, Environmental Science, or related field.
