Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy mining machinery, including excavators, loaders, and haul trucks, in compliance with safety regulations.
• Perform pre-operational checks on equipment and ensure proper functionality.
• Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments as necessary.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure the efficient operation of the mining site.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to operational and safety standards.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety issues to management promptly.
• Participate in training and safety meetings as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or certification in heavy equipment operation is preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in operating mining equipment or similar machinery.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in the mining industry.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and in confined spaces.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.

Salary and Benefits
