Job Responsibilities

As an Online Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that help ensure our patients receive the best possible care, including but not limited to:

Conducting patient intake and gathering medical history via phone or online.
Assisting with telehealth consultations and ensuring that technology is functioning correctly.
Taking and recording vital signs when necessary.
Updating patient records in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
Providing administrative support to healthcare providers as needed.
Responding to patient inquiries with professionalism and understanding.
Educating patients about procedures, medications, and follow-up care.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; certification from an accredited medical assisting program is preferred.
Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a medical assistant role.
Strong computer skills, especially with EHR systems and telecommunication platforms.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
